Judson Group has been retained by a growing, well-respected RIA in the search for a Manager of Operations & Client Services – Wealth Management. The Manager of Operations & Client Services is responsible for effective management of the Operations & Client Service department, supporting various operational and administrative duties across the firm, resource planning, and implementation of strategic plans and processes.

The ideal candidate has previous financial services experience in an operations role, strong client service experience, and familiarity with CRM, portfolio accounting and reporting systems. They should also be a strategic thought leader and drive change to ensure the firm is well-run.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the firm’s day-to-day operations, financial administration, technology support and compliance oversight.
  • Run process and projects with an eye for growth and scale with clear goals and structure.
  • Implement best-practice processes related to the firm’s operations and in support of the firm’s other departments including client data, employee changes, and investment functions including portfolio accounting and trading.
  • Continuously assess and develop the team’s knowledge and skills regarding internal and custodian platforms, CSA workflows, and back-office operations workflows.
  • Foster relationships across the organization for yourself and your team (Direct Reports, Management, and Executive Leadership).
  • Coordinate and host weekly team meetings.
  • Oversee firm and custodian platforms including onboarding/offboarding, vendors, troubleshooting, and upgrades.
  • Provide exceptional client service support.
  • Aid in the creation, maintenance, and monitoring of operational workflows.
  • Responsible for developing a strong knowledge of the firm’s software packages and technologies.
  • Manage, track, and coordinate the transition of new advisors/RIA.
  • Manage the remote client services administration offerings.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Series 7 and Series 24 required.
  • 7+ years’ of operational experience within financial services required.
  • 5+ years’ proven experience in positions of client services and operations.
  • Experience with responsibilities in an RIA and/or Broker Dealer.
  • Thorough knowledge of RIA custodians such as Fidelity Investments and Charles Schwab.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Thorough knowledge of any B/D Clearing Firm, i.e., National Financial Services, BNY Mellon Pershing, RBC Correspondent Services, First Clearing, etc.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs.
