Judson Group golf tournament

The Judson Group held their third annual golf tournament at Quail Ridge Golf Course on August 8.  Five teams competed in the scramble.  This year’s winning team of Hunter Judson, Dave Mason, Yana Carstens and Betsey Stec finished seven under par.  In second place were Dave Ronan, Jeff Versluis, Lindsay Farrell and Hunter Judson, Jr. at four under par.  Matt Reitter, Director of Contract Staffing for Management Recruiters International, was a special guest at the tournament.

In addition to playing on the winning team, Hunter Judson won the longest drive title on the 18th hole.  Jeff Versluis won the closest to the pin challenge on hole number four and Jeremy Anderson had the longest putt on the ninth hole.

The sixth hole was renamed the “Scurvy Dog” and each player donned a pirate’s hat and eye patch while teeing off.  Following each drive, players were provided a pirate telescope to locate their ball from the tee.  Most players found driving with the hat and eye patch to be a hindrance to their game.  Not Dave Ronan who said, “Believe it or not, my best drive was on the sixth hole, wearing the eye patch!”
